The safest way to own physical gold

XRBG Tokens to Physical Gold 1-to-1 Redemptions Currently Live

A digital asset, secured by physical gold.

XRBG is a token providing holders with proof-of-ownership of 99.99% fine gold via the blockchain. One XRBG token equals ownership to one gram of gold stored in secure vaults globally. Holding XRBG means you own the physical gold, held in custody by XRBG Trust.

Low Fees

XRB Gold has no storage or transactions fees and only low, volume-based redemption fees. On-chain transactions between wallets only incur nominal gas fees on Ethereum or Polygon.

Regulated

Physical gold is held by XRBG Trust and regulated by the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten; in cooperation with the Dutch Central Bank, ensuring ownership protection.[1]

Triple Reserved

Each token is secured by three grams of gold, maintaining a 3:1 reserve ratio, exceeding Basel III standards for transparency and security. No other gold asset offers this level of security.

Redeemable

XRBG tokens can always be redeemed for physical gold. Options include 1kg to 12.5 kg bars, plus shipping/handling. Holders may also exchange XRBG for USDC via P2P swaps.

FAQs

Explore frequently asked questions about XRB Gold (XRBG)

What is XRB Gold (XRBG)?

XRB Gold (XRBG) is a digital token where each token represents one gram of 99.99% pure gold, stored in secure vault facilities. XRBG token holders have ownership rights to the underlying gold, which is held in custody by XRBG Trust. The value of XRBG is directly linked to the current market price of physical gold. XRBG combines the benefits of physical gold ownership with the convenience of a digital asset. It allows for fractional ownership, enabling buyers to hold precise amounts of gold. Through XRB DAO, token holders can convert their XRBG to physical gold, stablecoins, or fiat currency. XRBG is tradable on decentralized exchanges and is being integrated into various crypto platforms.

Why should gold buyers consider gold-backed tokens like XRBG?

Gold-backed tokens like XRBG offer private and institutional gold buyers a secure and efficient way to own physical gold without the challenges of storage, security, or logistics. For institutional buyers, the key benefit is transparent, immutable proof of ownership through blockchain, backed by physical gold held under the stringent financial regulations of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

XRBG allows institutions to purchase and own the underlying gold directly, without needing to hedge their positions through derivatives like options. When desired, they can redeem tokens for physical gold, streamlining the process of gold ownership without the complexities of traditional markets.

For private buyer, XRBG’s fractional ownership enables more precise gold allocations, making the asset class accessible at smaller scales.

XRBG modernizes gold purchses by merging the security and stability of physical gold with the advantages of blockchain technology, without the usual costs and complexities.

How much liquidity is there for XRBG?

XRBG offers full liquidity, fully backed by physical gold. It is designed as a gold redemption-first solution, ensuring that holders can always redeem their tokens for physical gold. Additionally, XRB DAO has deployed XRBG/USDT liquidity pools on Uniswap V3 to provide real-time price visibility. These pools allow holders to track the value of their XRBG tokens against the price of one gram of gold directly in their wallets.

While the DeFi pools provide price transparency, they are not intended for large-scale trading. XRB DAO will periodically rebalance the pools to ensure they reflect the spot price of gold accurately. Liquidity is secured by a reserve of three times the gold for every XRBG token issued, guaranteeing full redemption for physical gold at any time, starting January 1, 2025.

For more information on XRBG liquidity, visit: https://whitepaper.xrb.gold/the-design-of-xrbg/liquidity.

How much gold is reserved to back the XRBG token supply?

XRB Gold (XRBG) upholds a 3-to-1 gold reserve ratio, meaning that for every XRBG token issued, three grams of gold are held in reserve. As of August 30, 2024, with 7,000,000 XRBG tokens minted, approximately 21,000 kilograms of gold are securely held to back the entire token supply. This triple reserve system, a rare feature in the digital gold asset market, ensures robust backing for each token and aligns with global transparency and capital standards, including Basel III.

What are the minimum purchase amounts for XRBG?

There's no minimum purchase amount for XRBG on decentralized exchanges (DEXes). During the presale, XRB DAO's off-chain and P2P functions require a minimum purchase of US$50,000. You can participate in the presale at whitepaper.xrb.gold/buy-xrbg/presale. For smaller investments, DEXes like KyberSwap allow purchases as low as $1 using USDT, visit kyberswap.xrb.gold to explore this option.

How can I exchange XRBG tokens for physical gold?

To redeem XRBG tokens for physical gold, token holders can initiate the process at redeem.xrb.gold starting January 1, 2025. A minimum of 1,000 XRBG tokens is required to redeem for physical gold, equivalent to a 1kg bar of 0.999 fine gold. The redemption fee is 0.025% plus shipping and handling. Holders with fewer than 1,000 XRBG tokens may exchange their XRBG for stablecoins through a P2P swap with XRB DAO. All redeemed gold comes from the reserves held in custody by XRBG Trust. For more details, please refer to the fee schedule: https://whitepaper.xrb.gold/the-design-of-xrbg/fees.

What fees are associated with XRB Gold?

Presale contributors are exempt from physical gold redemption fees on their initial contributions, regardless of the amount. XRB Gold (XRBG) has several fees associated with its operations. For token redemptions, fees range from 0.025% to 3%, depending on the amount redeemed.

  • Redemptions of 1,000 XRBG or more (equivalent to a 1kg gold bar or larger) incur the lowest fee of 0.025%.
  • Redemptions of less than 1,000 XRBG have a fee of 2% if opting for a P2P stablecoin swap via XRB DAO, or 0% if swapping directly via a DEX.
  • For fiat redemptions via bank wire, a minimum of 12,500 XRBG (equivalent to a 12.5kg gold bar) is required. The fee for this is 3%, plus a $50 bank wire fee and a $1,500 admin fee (subject to change).
All physical gold redemptions also include shipping and handling costs. For DEX transactions, only standard network gas fees and DEX swapping fees apply.

During the presale phase, there are no fees for purchases, but a minimum investment of US$50,000 is required for off-chain or P2P transactions with XRB DAO. Smaller amounts can be purchased fee-free via Kyberswap (kyberswap.xrb.gold).

Fee structures may change, so users should refer to the most current information in the fee schedule: https://whitepaper.xrb.gold/the-design-of-xrbg/fees.

What does the XRBG presale involve?

The XRBG presale is currently underway, with XRB DAO aiming to raise $40 million by offering up to 600,000 XRBG tokens at discounted rates. Investors can receive discounts of up to 20% depending on their investment amount. The presale is part of XRB Gold's mission to make gold ownership more accessible and liquid, with 7 tons of gold already tokenized into 7,000,000 XRBG tokens. Funds raised will be used for preparing physical gold for future redemptions, finalizing legal structures, and covering operational expenses. For more detailed information about the presale and how to participate, interested parties can visit https://whitepaper.xrb.gold/buy-xrbg/presale.

Where is XRB Gold legally based?

XRB Gold is legally based in Curaçao. XRB Gold is a product of Legacy Vault Services, S.T.C. B.V. in Curaçao, which serves as the trustee of XRBG Trust which manages the physical gold represented by XRBG tokens. The regulatory oversight for Legacy Vault Services and XRBG Trust is provided by the Central Bank of Curaçao and Sint Maarten (CBCS) in cooperation with the Dutch Central Bank (DNB).
